Short Story Writing Saturday 11th November Merewether Time: 10-3pm $60/$75 - FULLY BOOKED
Course Outline Through close examination of a cross section of published short stories we will examine what makes a short story compelling. How to attract and maintain the reader’s attention, how to approach the first draft and how to edit ready for submission will all be discussed. We will concentrate both on the form overall and pay close attention to our sentences. You are welcome to bring a short story you intend to submit to the Newcastle Short Story Award as HWC has no communication with the judges as regards submissions.
